The Amsterdam-based game and player data research company Newzoo has released a new report listing the top 20 most popular games of January based on the number of monthly users.
Once again, the online game platform Roblox became the most popular game in January 2023, managing to be at the top on PC and mobile.
The all-time best-selling game, Minecraft, managed to climb two steps compared to last month and found its place at the top of the list again.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, on the other hand, continued its decline after finishing November at the top. The game surpassed $1 billion in the first ten days after its release.
The most dramatic increase in the list has been observed in “Escape From Tarkov” published by Battlestate Games.
On the other hand, the most dramatic decrease in the list is the popular Electronic Arts title BattleField 2042.
Newzoo’s monthly list was compiled based on the data obtained from the global markets. (Not including China)
